Why only the NA/EU servers needs Maintenance and not the JP ?

Of course there is a huge change the other servers share some problems but they haven't closed yet and they rarely have the same problem not to be able to be found on the world list.

As a customer I understand that every beginning is hard and that you do the best possible to offer us a stable game , but I am curious why the same isnt happening everywhere.

One, the servers are located in Japan. That means *if* Japan has a datacenter, connecting it to the servers is as easy as plugging your computer into a modem with an ethernet cable. Its all right there. And when something is simple, there are generally less things that can go wrong. NA/EU on the other hand is trying to set up a large wireless network. Anyone who's set up a wireless network in their house should be able to understand the analogy. Its rarely as simple as a network adapter+modem+router. You have to deal with weak signals, basements, network extenders, multi-router setups, and all kinds of crazy stuff to maintain adequate performance in all areas of the house. Its a troubleshooting nightmare. And things usually go wrong.

Two, NA/EU covers two regions. Japan covers really just one small country. Traffic is probably crazier here.

the JP servers are also entirely separate from the NA/EU servers.... the JP servers are all located and hosted in japan. the NA/EU servers are all located and hosted mainly in canada, as well as a few other countries outside of japan like north america.

Well square couldn't find this problem before release so I'd say the reason is due to such high traffic in the NA EU servers as some of you have stated. JP servers aren't getting the errors because they're not as stressed
