Pay to play

After the new battle system and companies are live, polished, and as bug free as possile I would happily pay a monthly fee.
SE making money on this game is a good thing for everyone.

I would, but that's because the main things I'm looking for, questing and storyline, is fairly implimented, if a little bare bones. I don't think a lot of people would pay just yet. They'll need to have the battle system and dungeons finished at least.

I think SE should implement "pay if you want to" for the time being. People that pay get an icon on the these forums to identify them and in the game they get content first. Paying testers if you will. In my experience this will weed out all the negative people that have nothing constructive to say. Just repeat "make it like FFXI", or "in WoW".

While I personally like your idea , it's the people not willing to pay that SE needs to fix things for.

This game, while it still needs work, is better than it was when it was released. If they started doing P2P I would pay for it and as long as they continued to fix it then I'd be happy.

To me when this game goes pay to play is telling me "Hey look the game is done now come and play and check it out" too then am not even going to play ffxiv i reroll my char and now waiting for the game to get good so i can join the game and play it from the level my char is now which is 12.

The game in my opinion will be pay worthy when the following happens

1) The add all the company related content
2) They open up at least half of the locked zones
3) They add endgame
4) They do the class/armory changes
5) They add about 2-3 times more side quest, at the current pace that should only be 2-3 months.
6) They add more missions and class quest
7) They add chocobos and transportation
8) They add an AH or make the wards work
9) They fix all the crashing bugs and stiff
10) They add seek party feature like XI
11) They add more Faction Leves
12) They add Dungeon and Instanced content

Once all those things are done the game is release worthy in my opinion and ready to charge people.

You wont need number 3 everything else yes not every game that come out have Endgame from the start so we wont have any endgame to they release a new pack which would bring at least 3 new class with it.

What every they release now as "Endgame" will be obsolete when they raise the level cap which they said multiple times pre-alpha they would do eventually that they had it planned to atleast eventually be level 99.
