On Balmung Server "chasing Shadows" instance has been broken for 4....4!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! hours already really SE???
Hear, hear!It is effective, people google FFXIV and find the truth and do not buy the game, or resubscribe if they are returning players. This is actually the best way to deal with these jokers these days, keep backhanding them every time they make a poor game with a poor release and soon enough investors will not allow them to make these choices.
Money talks. Consumers spend it.
Too bad FFXIV:ARR is a game by SE which has no "investors" to answer too.It is effective, people google FFXIV and find the truth and do not buy the game, or resubscribe if they are returning players. But if you honestly think that any MMO launch is going to be flawless, you are on a level of delusional that there is no coming back from.
I am afraid you do not know what you're referring to, see the webpage below. You'll note it states "Investor Relations".

This is why the CEO was replaced by the way, share holders said enough and SE has already said they're moving away from their current models and focusing on the Mobile market where they've had more success.
Do research before you talk. Also, you're in denial and have stockholm syndrome if you think you shouldn't be enraged about a failure to launch of a game that's had roughly 3 tries now to get this right. (Beta 1, Launch 1, Beta 2 to be exact.)

I find this a bit misguided considering that the JP's have way more servers than NA. That would make them bigger in population, no? oddly enough, the JP servers have been running very stable ... makes you wonder who their contracted partner is on the NA/EU side. Incompetent network engineers?
[NA] Regarding the Instance-Related Issues (Aug. 24)
While we were able to address the previous issue wherein players were unable to access instances, we conducted another investigation and confirmed that the issue was ongoing for a number of players.
We have been able to identify the cause of the issue and have started the recovery operations. Once we have tested the fix, we plan on conducting another emergency maintenance. We will follow up once we have a better idea on the time frame of the maintenance.
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
Spec another shut down soon....
The Heading may say "Investor Relations" but the thing you are missing is that All information in those PDFs is for Shareholders, which are two different things buddy.
Square Enix is Both the Developer and Publisher of this game. SE answers to its Shareholders, not from random investors who funnel money into the company.

Soon should be now, dunno why they think they need to wait. They clearly are having many problems with the server and it's better served to look at the tables while we're not updating them.[NA] Regarding the Instance-Related Issues (Aug. 24)
