No valid or active service account is available upon login

When I try to log into the game I am met with the following message:



This is the only FFXIV \ SE account I have had, and I purchased FFXIV in 2011. It is listed as an [ACTIVE] service on my SE account page since that date.

When I follow the two links in that message, it brings me to a place to register my pre-order key. I entered my registration code from my 2011 purchase, and it simply says that registration code has already been used.

Not sure what has changed between last weekend and today, does anyone have any tips about how I can get past this message and get back to playing?

It means (sadly) that you did not qualify for Legacy status. You are a 1.0 character, therefore locked to a Legacy server, but you didn't qualify for the Legacy campaign that granted early access

Yet people I know who ordered the game last week are playing early access? How does that make sense?

Early access is for people that pre-ordered 2.0 or quality for Legacy.
They locked out 1.0 players unless they preordered ARR :/

Just as any fyi - I solved this issue. Not the most legit way but it works flawlessly.

involves pre-ordering from amazon and cancelling said pre order...im sure you can figure it out if you think about it.
