It's been a day since I last posted anywhere besides the New Player Help, and it still will not allow me to post anywhere else.

Even before then, it only allowed me 13 posts elsewhere before locking me out.

If I'm not mistaken...me posting here in the New Player Help is resetting the 24 hour clock on my post count every time??? Posting here is using up my daily posts as well!

This seems immensely unfair. It's like I'm being punished for trying to help new players, since doing so eats up my posts.

It's a sign to get rid of the ludicrous post limit. C;
By the way, events, help players and tech support does not go to your count.
You're free to post here with no limit of post or minutes.

Yeah I concur, this posting based on level limitation is ridiculous! Its an MMO for fracks sake, communication is #1, but SE are doing everything they can to keep us from doing that, both on the forums and in-game.

And then having no limit in this forum is just making ppl post here with topics that don't necessarily belong here. You can already see it happening...le sigh

Oh well, ARR finally launches soon, probably won't be bothering to visit here that often.

While there is no limit to how many time you can post in the New Player section, right now posting there does use up your allowance. So if you're lvl20 (it cuts off the level of Thaumaturges so I can't see) you have 3 responses and you post 3 times in New Player before trying to post elsewhere, you can't because the 3 posts have been used but you can still post in New Player since there is no limit here.

To me it does look like a bug with the coding or how the post allowance system was designed.

Edit: To better explain how the code is working right now - You can post anywhere up to your allowance. Once that number is reached (even if that amount was used in free sections), you are then limited to the free response sections.

Let me solve the mystery hopefully. Posts in the New player help forum Count towards you daily post limit everywhere but there is no cap here. So when it resets your post limit for the day if your 1st 13 posts are here then you wont be able to post anywhere else.

Couldn't agree more. I think anyone with a paying subscription shouldn't be limited. The only reason the beta forums were so ridiculous was because tons of people with 'nothing to lose' and who had made no investment in the game were free to post. If you require a paid subscription to post here, that will cut down dramatically on trolls and spam.

I can understand a new topic creation limit, people do need to stop making duplicate topics...but there should not be a limit on daily posts.

Wrong. I've been checking periodically (often enough to not use up 20 posts between checks), and it never lets me post elsewhere. So I can confirm I was NEVER given a fresh batch of 20 posts.

actually posting here does count against your daily limit. you can post well beyond the limit but any post here counts as daily posting.

I'm lvl 50, I should have 20 posts available to me. I know posting here uses up my allowance, but I confirmed I was NEVER given a fresh allowance of 20. I've been checking.

I'm aware of this... My problem is, posting here also prevents my post count from resetting to 20 again.

And I don't think posting here SHOULD count toward your allowance. That causes incentive NOT to help new players.
