I've got a question related to yours, in the new video:

    Primals Unleashed

Garuda is fighting the adventurers, once again, in a field with green grass and pines and rock ledges, just like in Sixth Astral Era Coerthas. Where did the snow go? She has always resided in the Central Highlands, what's with that?

But more importantly the open question of WHERE IN THE NAME OF THE TWELVE IS BAHAMUT!?!?!?!?!?!
you guys didn't get the fmv while travelling on your first airship? you didn't notice that thing coiled up being transported by air when geuess looked in the sky at the end? come on, didn't that look like a coiled up bahamut?

Wit, an ’t be thy will, put me into good fooling!
Those wits, that think they have thee, do very oft prove fools.
And I, that am sure I lack thee, may pass for a wise man.
For what says Quinapalus? “Better a witty fool, than a foolish wit.”

It was Ultima Weapon. Bahamut is bigger. Ultima/Omega Weapon are clearly the Garlean answer to Primals. When they first encountered the Primals in Othard (Garleans) you have to think they didn't just toss troops at it, they created the Weapons to combat these beasts. Adventurers are perfect when it comes to fighting Primals, we cannot be tempered...which brings up the question about the Company Heroes, the group who defeated both Leviathan and Titan from Limsa Lominsa. Anyways they're hulking Magitek weaponry, if you watch the Dungeon Crawl pt2 video, you will see a leg/arm break out of one of the containers. This is probably the process for creating a Weapon, they may use Magitek to enhance an animal and go from there with enhancements (major speculation but I had proposed the theory before this Magitek Arm/Leg appeared).

Gaius cannot afford to lose the battle in Eorzea with the trouble brewing in Garlemald. He's bringing in the big guns to try and make Eorzea submit to their rule. Let's not forget we've seen them arresting Minfilia...they will be acting soon.

Well considering how big it is and has all kinds of unnecessary wiring in it for a weapon of war, it's probably a proto-type or currently being "grown." After all Nero is in charge of Gaius' Magitek Division, it'd stand to reason for him to be creating new toys for Gaius.

This is merely 100% speculation what I’m about to suggest to how Coerthas turned into its current state.

I’ll start with the short version. A Garuda vs Shiva confrontation. Not necessarily a direct conflict between the primals but at least between both beast tribes with their primals backing them up.

I just find it weird to suddenly see Gigas wander around Coerthas and Mordhona. Coerthas being the zone that was mostly owned by the Ixali. We’ve also seen the rise of other beastmen and their tribe. Now that we’re 5 years later.

So my guess is that due to the entire battle at Cartenau, that the Gigas made their move to expand their territory. Perhaps they gained enough aether to summon Shiva. While knowing that Garuda had been weakened after our battle(and due to dalamud). Which resulted in a bit of a war among both beast tribes that perhaps ended more in the favor of the Gigas expanding their territory. Without fully taking it. But leaving in its aftermath a zone that still shows the conflict.

The reason for this way of thinking is that Coerthas is now a snowy and windy zone. And let’s admit, how awesome would it be for the two female primals to have this rivalry between them. The ice cold queen vs The turbulent gale mistress. Their personality could be like complete opposites.

    Perhaps it's crystallized aether?

Even if it is Shiva, how could Shiva have an effect on weather? It has to be through aether itself.
Though I'm not 100% sure I'm behind the theory that summoning Shiva (or at least summoning her alone) could cause the weather change in the entire region, there is reason to believe that a summoning effects weather. When they were first telling us about summoning primals as players (back when they talked about there only being one primal per server and it requiring a massive undertaking by pretty much an entire FC) they told us that anyone in the zone would know that the players had summoned the primal they bested because the weather would change. It hasn't made it to the game yet, or even been confirmed that it's still coming, but it's still a sort-of precedent for what was being described.
