I literally just got my code from ordering a digital dl version from gamestop online. It couldn't have been much more than an hour or so ago. So, I would say that as long as your friend can purchase the game online it should be easy enough to get a code.

I just had to convince him to spend the money :P I know for a fact he will like the game. He picked one up last night and got the code, not sure if it was gamestop.

I don't know if it was just my Gamestop, but I had to prove to him that the codes were advertised. He said he knew "nothing" about a code and even said he was looking at the website and it mentioned nothing about them (he wouldnt turn the screen for me to look). So I went home and emailed gamestop.com about my code and after 2 weeks they never got back to me.

Fortunately I found a post on the beta forums about the "backup" codes. Apparently they are few and only given out if you can prove you saw the advertising for a code (atleast this was my experience). So just go in prepared(I brought my smart phone with the gamestop site pulled up). Not every Gamestop may be this way, but the one near my house was.... Once I proved to him that I saw the advertising for it, magically "Oh, the *code*" .... lol

I'm sorry, I should have mentioned that your CE game code will likely be registered on the 27th, the items should show up then... Iirc, the service registered now is just for the early access/ pre order

Gamestop is out of EA codes, you will have to buy from the SE store.

I just pre-order the game yesterday/ got code then entered it today. Gamestop is still green

Called my local gamestop and they said no more codes. I just bought it from the SE store and got it all set up fine. I dunno gamestop can be confusing, I have had employees tell me false info before so who knows.
