[NA] NA Users that Purchased FFXIV: ARR from the PlayStation Network from Aug. 13-15
We have identified a technical error for users that have purchased the digital version of the FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn Standard Edition, or Collector’s Edition, from the PlayStation® Network between Tuesday, August 13 and Thursday, August 15.
Rest assured we are working with Sony Computer Entertainment America on the issue and further details will be sent directly to affected users via the PlayStation®3 XrossMediaBar (XMB) message system.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your patience.

They have problems with those of us who purchased before that...and for PC! My pre order code isn't even for my country or pc...and they sent it LATE at that. And even if I navigate around to input it for the country it was intended...its already used! Their support staff needs to be fired!!

Actually, there are THREE choices for some of us.I think I may have figured some things out.
First off, if you purchased the CE or the Standard Edition from the Playstation Store, it will say both at check-out and on your playstation account that you have Early Access. Sony has a working relationship with SE that you will not need to input any codes to receive items, etc. if you purchased it from the Playstation Store. All access and items are automatically linked to your SE account via the Playstation Network.
Once you log into your current account, it will take you through a service agreement.
After you accept the agreement you will see a screen with two options. One will state that you have a permanently active service for the FFXIV Beta, and you can select that one and hit next. The other option is to add a new service account. If you're unaware of how SE accounts and account services work, you can read up here. But either way, service accounts are a subsidiary of your SE account. Now, here's where it gets tricky. I added new service account, rather than selecting the beta account. Rather than getting the "No valid account" error, it just states that the servers aren't available and to wait until they are. I'm assuming the reason for this is because I created a new service account (not the same as your SE account), and that those that are seeing the error selected the beta one?
The confusion with this is whether or not we'll be able to access our beta characters from this "beta service" account. If it winds up being a problem, they did say that will offer a one-time service to allow people to transfer the game into the correct service account; http://support.jp.square-enix.com/fa...la=1&kid=68218.
After redeeming the 12-digit PSN code on the PS3, and downloading the client, the first time it's run you have to agree to the TOS and then link your PSN account to your Square-Enix account.
I was presented with THREE choices. The beta account, my 1.0 account (which had my characters from 1.0 and from beta 4), or creating a new account.
Of course, I picked the one that actually showed the characters I intended to play, which would be my 1.0 service account.

Yes sorry, I don't have a Legacy account, but I figured that bit out a little while ago.
For some reason, it didn't show any characters in my selection screen, just that I had the option to select the Beta account or create a new one. I had five characters in P4, but didn't see any of them listed.

Shout Outs To!: HiirNoivl and Madeleine for their time and help!!

I played on B4 (ps3) with my main character, at some point i got error 9000 well i kept playing , anyway at the near end of the B4. When the NA servers were geeting fixed and got closed i created a random. Character . Just to play a bit. Anyway after that, i never got online again, until now that im lauching the new. Client and everything... The problem is that. At some point of the details you have to agree and everything, i have to confirm the details of my service account FFXIV-pre order code PS3 and i can only choose my random char that i made at the end, and not my main character, I went to this loadstone forum and i can select as my main the main char the origianal Hyur ( main charcater) and the other Random one. Whats happening what should i do, i want the pre order bonus on my main char not my lalafel that i just used 20 mins, or it dosnt matter? Ill get all the bonus in my both chars?
I don't know if this has been addressed, but choosing the option for the existing account should have been chosen. I struggled over this myself before finally choosing the one that had the option of the betas on it and it came out to be the right one. If i'm reading the situation wrong; sorry. Hope this helps.

I'm getting this error and I pre-ordered my game at GameStop. The code was on the receipt and I entered it into the registration website and everything worked fine. I don't know why it's telling me I don't have a valid or active service account. This is on a legacy account as well, so technically I shouldn't have even needed to enter a pre-order code to have a valid account for EA. Seems like Square-Enix will have an issue in one department or another.

1.0 non-legacy + PS3 preorders - check your PC client! I had to deal with the "no active account" thing earlier, but now my account is working on both systems.
Is there any way to find out if I'm a Legacy member that should expect EA, I might be willing to buy the game again for the ea but don't want to if I'm getting it.
I'm a 1.0 player and I think I might have signed up with a 3 month plan back then but can't remember for sure.
I do know my 1.0 guy is on a legacy server now.
