Yea me too, I am having to input a code although I am a 1.0 user. The funny thing I remember seeing is that we will be able to play without purchasing the game again. But the only way to get early access is to purchase again. So I am only guessing that we don't get in early and have to wait while everyone else gets in. So much for us 1.0 dedicated members. Well I guess I am waiting till 27th and see what the next problem will be.

This is exactly how all PSN buyers have it. We never needed a mail with the code for Beta 4 and yet we were able to play it just by pre-ordering the game in PSN. This due to the fact that, as shown in the picture, we get it registered automatically in our account. The client is the same for Beta 4 and EA, so my assumption is that this is something PSN related...again...I wonder if japanese PSN players are also getting this issue.

I just hope that this get fixed by tomorrow. Taking into account that everyone is going to log in on the 24th, if this doesn't get fixed by tomorrow we are going to have a bad time :/

But if we dont have an active account (because we cant input the code), then how would you expect us to login first then input the code?
You don't log into the game to redeem the code.

Enter the pre-order code on your PlayStation®3 console, using either of the following methods:

・PS3 system [XMB(X Media Bar)] → [Account Management] → [Redeem Codes]
    ・PS3 system [XMB(X Media Bar)] →[PlayStation®Store]→[Redeem Codes]

Though if the PSN is still down for maint you might not be able to right now.

Preorder codes for PC are entered on websites. http://preorder.na.finalfantasyxiv.com/

You enter your code there and you get another code e-mailed you that sets you up for Early Access.

No. They said very clearly that you could enter on the website OR you could wait till the day, login and then enter the code. Did you see the text I quoted in red?

I think I may have figured some things out.

First off, if you purchased the CE or the Standard Edition from the Playstation Store, it will say both at check-out and on your playstation account that you have Early Access. Sony has a working relationship with SE that you will not need to input any codes to receive items, etc. if you purchased it from the Playstation Store. All access and items are automatically linked to your SE account via the Playstation Network.

Once you log into your current account, it will take you through a service agreement.

After you accept the agreement you will see a screen with two options. One will state that you have a permanently active service for the FFXIV Beta, and you can select that one and hit next. The other option is to add a new service account. If you're unaware of how SE accounts and account services work, you can read up here. But either way, service accounts are a subsidiary of your SE account. Now, here's where it gets tricky. I added new service account, rather than selecting the beta account. Rather than getting the "No valid account" error, it just states that the servers aren't available and to wait until they are. I'm assuming the reason for this is because I created a new service account (not the same as your SE account), and that those that are seeing the error selected the beta one?

The confusion with this is whether or not we'll be able to access our beta characters from this "beta service" account. If it winds up being a problem, they did say that will offer a one-time service to allow people to transfer the game into the correct service account; http://support.jp.square-enix.com/fa...la=1&kid=68218.
