I found this on reddit and, apparently, people who start up the launcher right now and haven't registered for early access are getting messages after less than a minute of waiting and one of the lines says:

"Users participating in early access must also complete registration by August 30,2013. Using the code enclosed with your package, please complete registration through the FINAL FANTASY XIV: Mog Station."

I was just about to post my own screenshot of that same screen - my reading is that (as already disscussed in beta forums) there will be a short "grace" period for EA players to be able to play without interruption before they'll receive the physical copy of the game and enter the activation code.

The game is only released in the 27th, so Shipments will only start in the 27th.

Nope - waste majority of the online retailers ships at least one working day PRIOR release asure launch day delivery some even earlier.

I ordered from NZ to Australia, apparently they've already shipped mine lol. Depends on your supplier, you should be able to get them in time.

Thank you for this!! I'm flat broke and don't get paid till the 29th, so i figured I'd be locked out till then after EA. Glad I won't be.

Ordered my CE from SE Online in the US. I got a confirmation email on Monday saying that it has been shipped. The following day, I saw a charge on my credit card. So I should be getting it today or tomorrow I hope!

They are giving a grace period for early access people, I want to say until Sept 9, not sure if I remember correctly, in order for people to receive everything in the mail / email to register the game codes.

A friend who preordered it from a spanish GAME shop tolds me that box arrives three days before launch...

And what may happen if I cancel the preorder now that I have been registered the EA code? I have it preordered at my usual shop too... (being spanish GAME shop without EA code which makes me go berserk)

Valid until 30th... They told me 2 to 5 working days... So the longest wait maybe 4 days until 3 september... Praying... Shit I shouldn't be worried for that such of thinks, being spanish it's an everyday frustration in technology terms... Always two steps behind... I did all at my hands to play EA and anyway I still worried... Berserk Grrrrrr... GLA morphing to MRD... Grrrrr...
