When you buy the game from PSN store how the ehll do you get your EA code?
Let me get this straight because I think you may be helping me out in a decision Kirito... I was a 1.0 CE (Vanilla w/e) player and I quit. I'm interested in the game again and now I have a PS3 pre-order code. Are you telling me that I need to apply my PS3 EA code to my PS3 in the registration and from there, I'll be able to play EA on both PC and PS3?
I was checking the client to see if I could update, and under options (where it wants me to apply my pre-order code to my account), it only lists my alt character from a different server, not my main one. Is it supposed to do this? And is anyone else having the same issue?
Hmm. Might already be on your PSN account? Under PSN, check Account Management > Transactions Management > Services List. Do you have an entry for Final Fantasy XIV? If so, open it up and tell what it looks like. Mine looks something like this: http://i.imgur.com/6okswMx.jpg (I did not buy from PSN) If there are such entries, you should not have to do anything. Just log in to your service account you want to play on on your PS3 and it should ask you to link it to your PSN account.
OK i'll look for that cause you just buy from psn store they send no e-mails or anything. Thanks for that been asking for days on the old beta forums, it would get pushed back to page 3 in 30 secs -.-Hmm. Might already be on your PSN account? Well, I preordered a PS3 game for EA. I was under the assumption that it will work account wide.
I guess we will find out in a few days![]()
What I acknowledge from the posts from the Devs on the beta forums. As long as you have both versions of the game, PC and PS3, you'll be able to have EA on that account. If you already have pc version(1.0 example) you'll apply for the ps3 promo, and apply for the pc if you already have the ps3 version.
That isnt true. I have 1.0 CE but not a legacy account. SE has long stated thatthe only way we get early access is to buy the ps3 version and apply account to the PC version I own, because we cant buy a second pc version due to a restriction of one account per platform.
This is true, the pre-order code you get from retailers used to unlock EA does not seem to be platform-bound. You can select either PC or PS3 when you redeem it. However, if you redeem for PC you won't be able to play EA on PS3, regardless if that's the version you pre-ordered. The platform of your choosing when redeeming is the platform you'll get EA for, nothing else. That isnt true. I have 1.0 CE but not a legacy account. ^ And as a 1.0 non legacy, you don't need to download 2.0 all over again, correct? (i just updated a moment ago but it wasn't a big update.)
