how to know ur account is collector edition

I'm somewhat curious of how they're going to determine 1.0 CE owners. I was given a buddy pass around the start of the original game, I have the onion helm on this account as well, but when I tried to add on my actual CE code it split off into a different account instead of being added onto my own account. So is it going to be determined by whoever owns an onion helm, or do the CE 1.0 codes differentiate from the standard 1.0 codes?

I'm sorry to say, but since you already have service account, the code needed to register your Collector's Edition will not apply to your existing account. See below:

Changing the status of a current Windows service account must be done through a digital upgrade. Your current service account cannot be overwritten with a new registration code from the collector's edition.

Im terribly confused.

I bought a Standard, and a CE for PC platform.

I registered the Standard to a new SE account (for my gf)

I registered my CE to my SE account, which has version 1.0 on it. I am a non legacy player, I cancelled before I was even charged one month of service.

From what I understand you can't do what I just did? You cannot register a CE to an account that has/had 1.0 on it?

You need to purchase the CE Digital Upgrade for $19.99, which is available at launch.

My suggestion would be to give your gf the CE account and simply purchase the CE Digital Upgrade on your existing 1.0 account.

Essentially this means my code is no longer valid to be registered elsewhere and has lost its function?

I believe what you registered was your pre-order codes. Once your physical game arrives, you should be able to register your keys at that time.

So to be clear, as a 1.0 player who purchases a Digital Collector's Edition, we will get a code on August 27th for a CE version of the game. We will also get a link to add this code to our standard 1.0 account. Which would then upgrade us to collector's?

either we hopefully recive new code of CE on official launch date or the code i recived today will automatically upgrade my account on that day , either way i recived my preorder items on my legacy and it was confirmed

Good to know I actually emailed support because it didn't mention anything about my CE(digital download) status when I registered.
