What was the point of the recent changes to DoL?

Seems to me they want stats to have more of an impact. As a R50 fisher before the patch I saw zero change in the way things worked for me. Those who had low statistics in the fishing area are the ones affected. Maybe the swung the pendulum a bit to far when they made this change, that an be adjusted to be less harsh overtime.

Thanks for your reply. Yea, maybe you are right. And on the other hand it's maybe more fun if people specialise more instead of being a jack of all trades on everything.
I do like the jig spot addition though.
