warning Phone Broke One time password gone. if your miss some you will lost all.

my friend's phone is broken and after fix it all got format and renew.so one time password already broke with it and when he try contact SE for cancel one time password.SE need all he have but he just can't remember address. but serial that register his ID or his name same as his credit card info or email that can't help anything for him.he just can't remember address bcz his ID is NA but he live in asia. so SE kick his ass out from SV already. rip..... so i wanna warn your all who use one time password with phone. remember all you info and address and keep it as your life. becoz if your miss some SE support will kill your all ID when your phone have problem. good luck your guy.



i don't know why name and credit card of he can't prove he is own of that ID...just email copy of passport or id card that have same name should be solve anything... anyway i alreday copy pic from my register .. already and zip it with password and sent to all email i have for someday i got attack by nuke like him... bad luck guy !

You obviously don't know English well, but if you can't verify your identity then they can't reset your one time password. Maybe "your friend" should next time keep track of his emergency removal tool and then there wouldn't be a problem.

One thing I do when I make an MMO account is make a word file with all my info that I used to register the game:
The serial #, name, address etc so if anything happened I'd have all the information right there. I even put down the username and password D:
If you're worried about security, put the file on a small usb stick and keep it somewhere safe, like a desk drawer or something; that way it will definitely be there when you need it

Why waste an usb drive if you can just write the info down... on a piece of paper.

As for the issue, yes, if you can't verify your identity, there is no way SE is going to unlock your account.

emergency removal tool it is password that can see after use one time password right!.i think i never see he say it lol" i know from him only he contact SE and SE need SQEN ID / Registered name / Email / Date of Birth / Address .but he know all but only address that he can't remember . i not sure he still know secret question or not. he just come to say good bye me and friend so atleast i wanna warn other or need to know what is other way. bcz phone broke is't his fault but he miss.. that embergency reset password by himself that is problem. but lost all 2 year time play bcz his phone broke and one time password combo. but thank you for emergency remove tool i may ask him may he already record it and forget where it is.

btw about verify identity why register name and sometext paper like passport or id card or credit card name can't prove it...but may be it is important information so SE cut this out from method. just my guess.

I always lose little sheets of paper XD for me; a usb drive is something I can throw on my keychain, hide in a drawer etc but paper... I have a nasty habit of losing XD.
Plus, really small USB drives are incredibly cheap (well, atleast they are in the states), really worth it to have like all important information on one, not just for MMOs and tuck it away someplace safe^^;

('w'") look like it.this is stupid case same as SE already warning people to keep emergency removal tool. i never use one time password so i don't known. i sure he not only one who got this. so if he can't remember or record ertp(emergency removal tool password) so he no hope for it becuase SE already warning.that poor guy!

I don't think he means it like that.

There are people from (for instance) Europe who've purchased the American version of Final Fantasy XI when it was released in America. The reason was, that they had to wait for at least a year, before the game was officially released in Europe. The problem back then was, that the American version only accepted an American address.

In order to by-pass that, was to enter a random non-existent address. When you reached the billing section, then you were able to select any country, including the country you were living in. Once that was set up, you were good to go.

But, if you didn't write down the address, or when SE would validate the address after you've called their support desk, you were in deep doo-doo.

It was not an uncommon scenario.
