[Hulan]

I hate to crowd up the SGD with more indecisive drivel; but like many before me, I am completely incapable of deciding which model I want to go with. I'm tentatively looking at these three:

The far right is basically a slightly remastered 1.x Hulan, while the one in the center is something I played around with today on the benchmark and I quite like him. But being a somewhat bland person myself I kind of feel like he has too much... character. Little Hulan is the one that is really killing me. I made him in Phase 3 and absolutely fell in love with the look, but I've been playing Hyur and Hume for the better part of... I guess it must be ~12 years now on and off, and I'm just not sure if I can see myself as a Lalafell. Watching the benchmark makes it even worse, since I just don't feel like he makes a very good main character....

Bah, I'll stop rambling; Sorry, the only thing I can do at this point is throw up my hands and ask opinions.

Edit: Haha, looking back on it after looking at some of the other characters in this thread again; boy all of my characters are pretty bland.

I think we are at least 8% indecisive drivel at all times here lol

You will always be able to change your hair later, so you can interchange between 2 and 3 but changing your race is a bigger deal. If I were you I would stay as the third option and fulfill your 'cute' desire with a mule or retainer ^_^

what topic we should do tomorrow for character creation?

Well as it stands, if you did not include a bio and posted your character (not characters you were just having fun with) then you are not in the running for my little contest. So pretty please make sure you fulfill these little requirements.

Some I am having a hard time telling if you are changing your race or not, so please do clearly say if they are your new main or not please.

I'll give people some more time before I make my poll.

(I'm torn on the hairstyle, probably gonna keep it at the long option, but I can always switch it up once the salon comes out!)

I actually like the shorter hair, I think it is not used nearly as much too

Nique has the right to reject the winning submission that didn't have a bio "or" like/dislike section. I think that's pretty fair.


I think if no special prize pops up, next winner choose next topic then it's easier.

Thank you very much Nique, I think I will do just that. A friend of mine is joining up when ARR goes live, so perhaps I will have an opportunity to do both after all.

It's too bad, Little Hulan just wanted people to stop thinking he was a girl..... Hyur Hulan just doesn't have to deal with that sort of misunderstanding. Bah, I really want to enter the contest, but I'm far too tired to write a good backstory right now, and it will probably be too late by tomorrow morning.

Having played around with the benchmark some more, I have to say: I am truly jealous of the female hair options. There just isn't anything of quite that.... grandeur on the male side.

I know, I really like it too, but the main thing that bothers me is it almost completely covers up that one eye from all angles. If I'm gonna be stuck with one style for a while until they finally implement the salon, I think I'd rather see both eyes.

Truthfully I would have liked to keep it about the same length and style I had before and how I'm used to drawing her:

But that's not an option on Highlanders, and I love the Highlander emotes and animations so much more than the Midlander ones, which are too timid for my tastes and the personality I imagine Myr to have.

I like your art style. Looks a little bit like water color.
