I can't really draw something purely on my own, so i will have to resort to line tracing in order to get general picture right. When i do that, i can draw something like this.

It feels like i'm cheating though... (>_<; ) I wish i had drawing skills like Nique, Vergil and Myranda...

It's not cheating, it's practice! I used to trace over things (mostly Pokémon >.>) by holding them up to a sunny window and eventually got a small light table so I didn't have to hold up the papers anymore...

It's just one step of the learning process: next you could try copying images but without actually tracing them, just have them there as a reference and do your best to make them the same. And after that then you can start using reference images just for inspiration rather than to try and copy them exactly. Just gotta keep at it!

It just looks like a straight drop-waist skirted dress which was a style of the time

Oh and I made my WIP on the drawing into a gif. Yay for google searching photoshop tutorials. Don't laugh at the faces. There is a reason I left our features blank.
