Excalibur=Unofficial West Coast/PST/Late Night Legacy Server

I know of two big European linkshells going to Excalibur, so by your logic Excalibur is the unofficial EU legacy server.

I don't know who is going to Gungnir, but I don't think I would have joined a JP datacenter server even if I had known several groups going there.

I thought I wrote my post to be clear I wasn't trying to sound like the "voice" of everyone who plays PST. I did say that I was sorry if you had a PST group going elsewhere, but I didn't find you and I made this post to advertise the server where I knew certain late night/PST players were going to. I also made it close to the deadline too so if anyone else had wanted to post that Late Night/PST players were going to X server they had a good chance to do that.

But I did do quite a bit of searching for PST based groups after the servers went down to try and find a place that had more late night players. There are just so many EST players in MMORPG's they can be kind of overwhelming at times for people who don't want to play from 5pm until 8 pm (or for a lot of us 2 pm-5 pm everyday).


For the record I didn't pick Excalibur myself, I'm just following other PST groups that are going there in an attempt to amass as much of us in one place that we can. If someone had posted earlier that the Late Night PST server was Hyperion or whatever I would have just as easily gone there. Actually it seemed like a toss up between Excalibur and Hyperion, I think they decided not to go there because of one particularly insane person who transferred there during the last 1.0 transfer. However, I'm afraid he might now be transferring to Excalibur (though hopefully he just quits because he really should not be playing video games in his mental condition).

Anyways a decision had to be made for us, we weren't the first group to make it but once that group did we felt it was better to follow them than go into the unknown not knowing how many late night playesr there would be. When FC's are trying to make sure all their members get on the same server that decision had to be made fairly early and unfortunately I was not aware of as many PST groups as I am now. But still, many do seem to be going to Excalibur.

You didn't lol. I was just trying to point out how silly it is to label something an unofficial server based on two FCs. I'm pretty sure every NA/EU server will have at least two PST based FCs.

It's 4 now if that matters. There was also a couple threads on the beta forum for west coast people, and "southern cali players" suggesting Excalibur as well.

You'd be surprised as other people have pointed out on this thread most shells while generally welcoming to all time zones have EST based start times (which are sometimes a problem for those of us on the western side/other time zones and work schedules that prevent us from being available so early). It was just a suggestion for people/groups who want to find more late night people to play with where they might look, because believe it or not we are a pretty niche group among MMORPG players for some odd reason. I've always struggled to find people/groups at this time.

I think a lot of us played with JP's more than your average early logging NA/EU player but we won't have that option any longer either. Anyways I'm glad to see so many of us going to Excalibur. It sounds like we shouldn't have that problem any more. I'm sure there are probably some other great PST groups on other servers I left out as well, I may have had trouble finding them but that doesn't mean much. I'd be glad to amend my OP if any of them would like with their info.
