However, I need to know for sure. I would feel really stupid if I invested heavily in dex materia for my gear only to learn later that this stat is worthless for gladiators and marauders. Despite the likelihood that this is true, I need confirmation. Can anyone definitively say that it does or is it something that people are just saying but don't really know?
It's in the beta phase 3 instruction manual:

Dexterity - Increases ranged attack power and the chance of blocking or parrying an attack.
A few things in the manual have changed since phase 2, so you might want to check it out.
