Molly's ARR Stat Guide

You have done a lot of great work Molly, but as a tank there is something glaring that stands out to me. You mentioned that the dexterity stat increases the rate at which we block and parry. Where did you get that from? I looked at the Doctor Mog source you mentioned and he definitely did science out some pretty good information about the damage mechanics, but he made no mention of dexterity and its presumed effect on block & parry rates. When I played phase 3 and got to the point where i needed to start allocating my first set of stat points, one of those little tutorial help boxes came up and described dexterity as impacting how much damage ranged attacks do but said nothing of block & parry rates.

Don't get me wrong, I am not arguing that dexterity does *not* affect block & parry rates (most likely, it does simply because it works that way in many other games and just makes a lot of sense). However, I need to know for sure. I would feel really stupid if I invested heavily in dex materia for my gear only to learn later that this stat is worthless for gladiators and marauders. Despite the likelihood that this is true, I need confirmation. Can anyone definitively say that it does or is it something that people are just saying but don't really know?

Dexterity - Increases ranged attack power and the chance of blocking or parrying an attack.
