This forum had an earlier discussion last year about possible races to be carted over to FFXIV, either in original form, or altered slightly. I wanted Burmecians then and I want them now. That isn't to say that this picture confirms anything. Maybe the interviewer was just hoping to obtain Freya's armour in-game --- ooo, I WANT FREYA'S ARMOUR! -- I hope someone comes around with more information about that image.

I voted for a demonic race in that poll, and my second choice would've been reptilian. I don't want Viera, so Burmecians would be fine, too.
(My Elezen might look pretty cool in Freya's armor.)
