Sleipner mount! (I wish)

If maybe one person per server could have it then maybe I'd be ok with it, but you know people will cry foul over that. Equal opportunity and all.

This is my thought. He's not a sleipnir, he's the Sleipnir. If Odin is one of the defeat/charge/summon primals, maybe somehow a member of the defeating party/company gets to ride him during the 2 week period, one at a time. Somehow.

Funny blog post but a big no to the Sleipnir mount for players. Yeah it'd be badass to ride Sleipnir, but it doesn't mean we should have it. Sleipnir is the one-of-a-kind horse that Odin rides. It's not the only thing that makes Odin special, but it's definitely one of the most iconic about him. Things that make NPCs unique should stay with the NPCs imo and we shouldn't just start asking for these things the moment we see them. Sometimes a parent needs to say no so the child doesn't become spoiled...

This isn't any other MMO, best to remember that. You will find the community as a whole (majority) not to want this too happen. Also why do you want it, players will have other mounts.

Maybe not Odin's horse, but I would love to see special mounts as drops that maybe go faster than other mounts etc etc.

Also let's be honest, even though many of us might not want to see the awesomeness of Odin's ride bestowed to players, we'd all want to ride it if we could lol.

Well, I don't know about Odin being "less special", but it'd be kind of weird to me to be able to control his mount. I mean, first of all, isn't Sleipnir (hope I spelled that right) a part of the summon? As in, he is a summoned creature just like his master? Riding around on Sleipnir would be akin to being able to get a piggy back ride across Eorzea from Odin himself. Hm. :/

Secondly, I'm not sure Sleipnir would really obey the commands of some random adventurer to the extent where that person could use him as a mount. I mean, it seems to me like Sleipnir (again, I hope I'm spelling that right) would throw that Lalafell off his back and stomp him into paste for trying to ride him. I dunno, just my two cents.
