I do like the idea of have L2 + R2 opening up a third set of abilities. I had noticed I had filled everything up when I was playing MNK this weekend and I had to press R1 to switch to a different set. While I was used to flipping between action bars in 1.0, ARR's combat is significantly faster so it would be much more advantageous to just memorize button combinations.

You should submit that in the feedback thread when they're open, it's a very good idea.
