Mods: Will PS4 get the same preorder bonus and C.E version?

Forgive me if this has been asked, I did a search and did not see anything directly asking this. I have PS3's and I have my PS4 pre-ordered, so this is my question.

At the moment I have my PS3 CE copy reserved because I would love to have the pre-order bonuses (mostly the cait sith minion, I'm my LS's 'Momma Cat', it's fitting lol), but now that I know the PS4 version will be released I was thinking of pre-ordering that when it was available. I feel the game will look better on that system, considering the specs.

But... will the PS4 version have a Collections Edition with the physical/in game items and will they also get the Pre-order items of mog hat and cait sith minion when it becomes available for pre-order? Or if you order the PS3 version, will you be able to DL it onto the PS4 for free since the game is connected to your PSN/PS account, or would it be a re-buy?

Over all, I will get the PS4 version (regardless) because that system will be in my living room where I plan on playing. I just don't see the point in getting the PS3 atm, since I have it for PC, if I'll be able to get the PS4 as long as they get the same pre-order bonuses and CE items.

Little ahead of the game there... I suspect it will get it's own exclusives since it's likely to release almost a year later. The system doesn't even come out til Nov 21st at best estimates. The PS4 version will likely mirror the DirectX11 client version of the game that so far has been said to come out several months after ARR officially launches. Those several months of time can mean a lot of changes for the game depending on how well it succeeds. It's way to premature to delve too far into it at this point really.

I'd prefer if they just had an open client where you can download it from the PSN store instead of having to buy a whole new copy for PS4. I mean some of us will already be owning both PC and PS3 copies. It would be pretty weird to own three versions of the game... Unless you're a hardcore fan like those players who bought Resident Evil 4 for GC, PS2, PC, Ipad, 360, and PS3...

I can understand a respect what you're saying, but in a way I don't know if it really is jumping ahead of the game.

The PS4 edition is coming out next year… they haven’t said specifically when. Which means, (depending on how prepared SE is) the PS4 comes out in Nov/Dec and we could be seeing the game as soon as 2-3 months after PS4 release or 10-11 months later.

I’ve already spent 80$ on the original CE (and yes this is my fault because I am a CE fanatic) and I will be spending another 80$ on the PS3 to be able to get the physical items and the pre-order bonus etc. If we don’t know (no matter when it comes out next year) if they will be offering the same pre-order/CE pack for the PS4 or allowing us to DL it on the PS4 if we own the PS3 version, I could end up having to buy it for my PS4 as well.

If they will offer the same items and CE with PS4, I’d be more inclined to wait on that seeing that I plan on offering my PS3 to my best friend, seeing that she doesn’t have the ability to purchase one at this time, once I receive my PS4.

I agree, which is why I felt it would be wise to ask and see if SE knew what they planned on doing. Some might be more willing to wait for the PS4 edition if they knew they would still receive the same pre-order bonus's and CE packs and knew if SE would or would not allow PS3 owners to DL it for free onto their PS4.

If the above is the case, I'll get the PS3 version, knowing I'll be able to DL it onto my PS4 later on. If this is not the case, I have a decision to make.

Seven hells, let's have all of the soundtracks, CGI videos and a full recap of the 1.0 story on there while we're at it!

And a Maelstrom duvet cover/pillowcase set.

I am assuming you were trying to be over the top and sarcastic, which is all well and good. I found it funny, and amusing myself. Though I don't see an issue with asking SE if they plan on bring out the same offer for PS4. This way some who may not have the means to keep re-buying the game, and might prefer one over the other, could have the option and information to make and educated decision when it comes to how they feel their 80$ would be best spent~!

Since the contents of the ARR CE were only announced a few months before release, maybe it will be the same with the PS4 version. Yoshi-P said ARR for PS4 should come out "Early 2014". That might mean first half or first quarter, so maybe December or January would be the earliest we could expect an announcement? That's 6 months away.

PC ports often don't have special CEs, but they can include DLCs for the same price. Maybe the first expansion will hit around early 2014 as well, and PS4 gets that as part of the release? (like FFXI + Rise of Zilart for its NA/EU release.) Plus Sony may want royalties for each PS4 copy sold.

No official announcements have been made, other than a ps4 version is coming 2014. We have to wait and see what bonuses, IF any, will be available with the ps4 version.

Yoshi-P already said that we should buy the PS3 version now and not worry when the time came to play on PS4. I take that to mean that the PS4 version will be free to download for those with PS3 unlock on their account. However, the OP about a new Collector's Edition remains - I just hope the PS4 CE *is* the PS4 is all^^

Well Jackel did tell me that SE is speaking with Sony about making it a downloadable game on the PSN for those who have already bought it for the PS3.

Maybe once they are done with those talks (if this is in fact what is happening) we will hear something then~!
