What about a holiday like Memorial Day? It's not really a somber day for the US.while I like the idea, I have to disagree with the premise that it fits with the Lore. the fall of Dalamud was a calamity in the land of eorzea. it's not something they would celebrate. to give an analogy, we wouldn't celebrate 9/11 here in the US. we have a solemn remembrance of that date each year but we don't throw carnivals lol.
True, but memorial day doesn't focus on any specific disaster, it's more a day of thanks for what our fallen troops gave. Further it is in fact a somewhat bleak holiday, in which many choose to visit graves and cemeteries, and hold ceremonies there for the purpose of remembrance... That said, let's have a BBQ for this dalamud day XD
You have made some pretty good points. Going on more of a Memorial Day route perhaps make it Louisoix Day lol. A day of remembering him and the others for everything they did to save the realm.True, but memorial day doesn't focus on any specific disaster, it's more a day of thanks for what our fallen troops gave. Also with Memorial day, don't forget all the "memorial days sales" we have at retailers across the country along with the BBQs. lol.
