So the "Judges" of the Gar-lean Empire will become weapons of mass-destruction? Interesting and could soon to be foretold.

Imagine we will need an alliance to take these guys down, piece by piece, limb from limb. Weapona as big as "SIN"(from FFX).

Probably not. Ultima/Omega and any subsequent Weapons are strictly homage to the FF-franchise and what SE wants to do with FFXIV. As for what the Weapons are-- they're probably some kind of beasty enhanced with Magitek weaponry or they're strictly powered on Magitek and possibly even Ceruleum technology probably with some kind of control mechanism...after all it seemed to be a in a slumber or turned off upon transportation to Gaius' new position.

I say Weapons like Ultima/Omega are the Garlean answer to Primals and massive armies. After all if it can take on a Primal by itself, it can take on armies as well. Why waste troops when you can send in a Weapon and destroy or even intimidate any army in submission.

I'd be interested to see if we're going to encounter such a thing in a cutscene for the main scenario?

We are sent to track down a Primal but when we get there, it's in combat with Omega already and we're stuck to deal with Omega after it smacks around the Primal.

Maybe, it might have been Gaius' plan to end the city-states, the Beastmen and their 'eikons' with Ultima Weapon...but the Warriors of Light are about to put a damper in his plans.
