I have a question about linkshells and leadership passing after phase 4 starts if we choose to move servers. I will be moving from Gugnir (which is a jp datacenter now)to a NA/EU server with a data server not in JP. Will we be able to delete/erase/break linkshells already created in 1.0 during phase 3? I do not wish for leadership to auto-transfer. . . i want my ls to dissolve so there r no traces left on Gugnir. Will this be possible?

I think that's something you'll have to discuss with your LS. But if everyone moves off the server, I think it'll disband by default since there's no active members on the server.

You most likely can't dissolve the LS during phase 3 because character progress is not saved.

Also, SE said that LS's wouldn't dissolve if the Master left the game/shell/server and that leadership would be passed to another member. (I don't remember where I saw this but the information is out there)

The only way to 'break' a LS from Beta 4+ is for the 'Master' to talk to the NPC and actually dissolve the LS via him.

You'll most likely have to re-create linkshells if you transfer servers.

yes I am aware that upon transferring servers i will have to create/join a new ls. I just do not wish for my 1.0 LS to be active under anyone who does stay on original server.

I want the LS to DIE.

There are too many people in it who were online for 2days and then never showed up again in 1.0. I don't need lol miracle chance one of those people logs on again and stays on original server and decides to keep shell/name after 1.0.

I understand SE wants to give us our shells for P3 so we can communicate with our original comrades and get servers sorted out and everything (Very Cool!). And wanting to do world transfers at open beta, before official release hits, so problems can be addressed before Official Release. That way they can focus more of the customer support towards the new players joining at official release and months beyond. Who will have just as many if not more problems/questions.

I think that instead of leader passing lead to a member if that leader moves servers, all members should be kicked out of ls at P4 if they did not make the move to same server leader went too.

No offense, but if you're leaving the server, it's really not up to you, it's up to whoever is left behind.

If it is entirely inactive, then there won't really be a problem. Even if you could "kill" it, if the remaining members were inactive, nothing would stop them from just remaking it.

Because i do not wish to play on JP Datacenter. And the only ones left will be the ones who didn't sign up for p3 beta since all old acct. holders, legacy or not, get accepted in p3 beta. But hey if your not coming back for P3 you're probably not coming back at all right?

Or give us an option that when we choose worlds in week or two, that if we are an ls leader we can have a secondary option to choose to have shell broken at start of P4 with merger.

I know...I was basically saying: You're out of luck.. if you wanted the LS to be dead, you needed to kill it before 11/1/12. Because you will have to port your character to it's new server before you can disband that Linkshell/any of our progress will be saved. So due to when data will start being saved being after you need to transfer your character, any changes you make won't carry over....and the LS remains for ARR.

Nothing you can do unless SE changes 'Master' controls.

If you aren't on the server, what skin is it off your nose if the LS still exists? You can re-create it using the same name on your server.

And if 'dead' people mattered to you, should have reformed before the save (which is what I did with my LS). Not really to get rid of the 'dead' but to change leadership etc in prep for Free Company stuff.
