Will room be saved for New ARR players on Existing 'Legacy ARR' Worlds?

Well, the servers weren't active, when the game ended. But every 1.0 character (even ones that were started, walked around town once, and abandoned) has a 'slot' on them. Also, since we're doing server transfers etc due to region, there is no promise that the world I'm on/transfer to won't become full. This is more what I'm asking. Is there a cap to how many 1.0 characters can transfer to a Legacy world so that there is some space left over for New Players?

That doesn't mean they will all come back and all be active simultaneously. The servers for 1.0 were never anywhere near capacity. Also, some people will be transferring off the original servers once it becomes possible (after a cooldown period for the new servers to develop) and so the worst case scenario is that you wouldn't be able to join an old server immediately but down the road.

I understand all of this...that however does not mean that SE has any measures up that prevent all of the active NA/EU players from trying to cram into one server... nor does it mean that just because someone didn't activate their account, it's still not counted in the 'world population' totals, just sitting there eating room, never to be opened for another player.

Also, every single Phase 4 and Early Access Player will be able to choose our worlds before those who start on the official Launch Date 8/27/2013. So even if 1.0 players don't fill these worlds, it's possible that New Characters and Beta players would. (Hubby does have Early Access, but that doesn't mean everyone who has friends who are just starting out is as lucky). So what happens if a 1.0 Player has a friend who is brand new and buys a game copy on Aug 27th? or in November?

Heck, we don't even know for sure that Beta 4 characters are allowed to start on 'New Worlds' They might have to stay on 1.0 Legacy worlds too...because afterall, how much of a 'Fresh Start' would a 'New World' be if there was an existing playerbase on them that was able to play for about a month before launch? Although different topic.


I understand, YOU don't think it's a big deal. That doesn't mean that it's not worth asking about. Nor does it mean you KNOW what you are saying is to be true...you just assume it.

All I want to know is that SE saved some room, doesn't have to be alot, for our New Character friends to join us. Of if they have something like FFXI wherein players could purchase a 'ticket' to get a friend on a full (or almost full) server. (I think that's how my Husband got me on his server anyway...been awhile).
