seems that even with the need greed pass system ls/fcs still intend on using the dkp system.e

How do you know what LS/FCs intend to do? where is your data?

I don't like DKP systems either, and don't understand how anyone could like them unless they were friends iwth the LS leader or were with the LS from the beginning, therefore giving themselves the advantage. However, I see no evidence that "everyone" or 'many people' are going to do it. There are many ways to handle loot distribution.

You're describing a bad working DKP System, and the fault is of those people who set it. There are many different DKP Systems, and each one has its own pros and cons, but all of them can work only if Leaders are fair people and manage them with care and fairness.

I don't think that a Random System could be fairer, because it essentially doesn't pay your efforts but your luck, and in a Guild or whatever it can't work.
