FFXIV: A Realm Reborn Launches August 27, 2013!

I'm extremely excited to share the big news with you -- FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn launches worldwide on PS3 and PC on August 27, 2013!

We launched our new product page that details information like Collector's Edition info, pre-order details and more! If you have friends that have been waiting patiently to take up arms and join you in Eorzea, you'll definitely want to point them over to the new site! (North American version & European version)!

What exactly does this imply? As someone who has played since 1.0 and has the old CE I would like to now buy a PS3 version, would I be able to use the code for the Moogle hat and Caitsith minion from the PS3 version pre-order on my old account?

I'm really wondering the same thing. I'd like to get the PS3 version so that I can play on whichever system I want (PS3 when family are using my PC for example), but I'd want to apply the pre-order code to my old account and have my old account the one I use on PS3 anyway.

The ps3 version is essentially going to flag your account for use on the system, so you should be able to use all your codes on your old acct.

As long as you sign in with that same account on the PS3 version...you should be fine.

It likely means you can only apply the code while in that system. As in a PC code won't work on the PSN.
You won't suddenly lose items by switching from one client to another.

What I want to know is if us Legacy players get the preorder items or not.
