For that price i'd rather advise to plan a trip to Cologne and go to Gamescom (Yoshi's probably gonna be there anyway to promote the launch, that I bet 10 gil will be right before Gamescom). It's half press and half consumer event and you can gain entrance for 34 euros, but since it's open to the general public most events are actually planned to be attended by everyone, so you don't have as many doors closed in your face.

I did Gamescom in 2010 just pre-1.0 launch. It was great fun, with camping in a part of the nearby park, drinking beers into the early hours with a couple of hundred other gamers. Got an awesome hard-wearing FFXIV mousemat and stickers from the event itself. Only thing I don't recommend is the 12hr coach trip from England lol.
