Your Biggest Regret in 1.0

I'm not sure I have any regrets, but I am mostly sad I never beat Van Darnus (Hard Mode) and didn't get those shiny White Ravens.

There was an incident last April with another linkshell member that left me pretty bitter and unwilling to play the game. I still came back every now and then for content updates, but I couldn't bring myself to play for more than a few days. I did do all of the Grand Company quests, did Hamlet a few times, beat the regular Van Darnus, got my Dalamud Horn, etc. so it's not like I missed anything important story-wise, but hearing friends talk about the adventures they had while I was gone does sadden me a bit. I wish I could've been there with them.

The reason I don't regret it, however, is because there were just as many fun times to be had outside of the game. Had I never stopped playing, I would've never had those memories either. To top it all off, I've got a fantastic linkshell and group of friends I've kept in touch with, as well as a few friends I've made while not playing*, and I look forward to playing with them in A Realm Reborn.

I don't think I have any regrets, I set some realistic goals towards the end of 1.0, I got a DoW(Monk) and a DoM(White Mage) to lvl 50 with all AF gear, love those classes. Beat Nael Van Darnus and got the Meteor Horn by completing the storyline. Made over 5 million gil(Over 6 million), although that's chump change to what others have(I didn't have any DoL or DoH jobs lvl'ed), but I will be far from broke come 2.0, and I got to the highest lvl for my GC. Also I got to do the last event, I got kicked but got to run around a ton and kill stuff with everyone

I actually just thought of a regret > The Imperial Hat(White and Red jester one), I was in a party, everyone got one but me so I was next. Another guy joined when it was my turn for the hat, so when it dropped we had to roll for it and he won it! Then the party disbanded before I could get another, and that was like the day before they stopped that event! I would have looked so cool in that hat :'( Oh well...

Until I read this. Oh goodness, Nix. I know the feeling. I became such a flat doormat that my friends who were looking out for me started getting pretty pissed. I was too helpful, and as an LS leader, I wanted to be respected and liked by EVERYONE.

Now I know that's not possible. I let myself be taken advantage of til nearly the very end, and I do regret it. I never managed to finish what few things I wanted to finish, because I was just too helpful.

So, come ARR, I am going to rule with an iron fist! And maybe cupcakes. And in case I do slip up and volunteer to be a doormat, someone is sure to slap me over the head.

I feel you 100% @_@!! I don't like to be disliked and I feel that if I am capable of helping someone that needs it, I should.... but then there are a lot of people that like to take advantage ><. I won't let it happen in 2.0, I'll help a bit but I'm not funding people's forays into the game because they're too lazy to farm. > lol

I regret not finishing my Bravura and not doing Darnus on hard mode for those sexy earrings.

It's a shame, but I'm sure there will be similar earrings later on down the road, making those just as aesthetic as the goobbue mount. Speaking of which, I wish the goobbue mount would become an account-based treat like the collector's items. I've been contemplating starting brand new on a fresh server for 2.0, and losing my Goobbue mount is the definitive "nope."

I kind of wish I'd just gotten further. With everything in life going on though, I missed a good chunk of playtime. I only ever got to like, level 22 on CNJ before the final days. Makes me sad that I missed out on a lot of the storyline.

My biggest regret is not taking more screenshots to commemorate the old world. And beating van Darnus on Hard Mode. Took me long enough on easy... >_<

Oh, I haven't had cupcakes in such a long time! Red velvet is fantastic though! I feel like you're like my forum pact partner or something at this point! XD But yeah that's basically all I did. Hold their hand, and never pushing them to think for themselves.
