I really don't get it... That or they are hurting the baby chocobo (at first I thought one baby chocobo left for sale) so she took it away from them like... My precious... Niqo acts like what's wrong with her friend or others.

I borrowed Abriel from my favorite fantasy trilogy (The Elenium by David Eddings. I definitely advise reading it and its sequel The Tamuli if you still didn't).

I recently had the chance to read both of them in English (as well as the Belgariad and the Malloreon), and it was even more epic than my first few reads in Russian. What language did you read them in?

nah this is more towards their Homework and Daft Club albums in feeling.

Haven't heard much beyond the discovery album from them so I wouldn't know haha. Well if it still has the daft punk feeling to the fans, then it's all good I guess :P

Italian first and English afterwards. And yeah, the English original was SO much better. Eddings' peculiar humor and with is hard to translate in other languages.

I think the peculiar part comes largely from the fact he was writing them all together with his wife actually. I think they revealed it in one of their later books. Which is also why the female characters seem so realistic to me.
