Aetheryte Radio 2.0- What do you want out of an FFXIV podcast?

If you were to do video, maybe show brief tutorials on the latest crafting/gathering strategies. This could be done while you discuss other things.

Also, I'd like to see greater use of the wiki. I know you were involved with Eorzeapedia, and it really bugged me how little the wiki kept things organized in terms of outdated data, such as obsolete recipes and monster drops. I know I, for one, would be much happier if it started over as a wikia page, because using a service altogether separate from the one ffxiclopedia uses really doesn't help players of both games.

Keep in mind, the game changed quite a bit in 1.xx, and as such it was hard for the community to keep up. Also note, that it IS a wiki. If you see something wrong, fix it!

I should think it'd be harder for FFXIClopedia to start over, given how expansive FFXI is by now. I suppose that explains why they were slow to add any of the new Adoulin data. Then again, that's also a reflection of the user community as a whole. The bluegartr wiki was much quicker with their data collecting this expansion.

I'd love to see tips/tricks/strategies thrown in there.

As someone who is not good at pattern recognition, it sometimes takes me a while to figure out what the trick is to beating a boss or other specific content. Tips and tricks for the casual gamer would be a great topic every now and then, along with the same for hardcore gamers.

Also things like food/gear recommendations, skill rotations that work for specific scenarios. There's really a multitude of things you can throw in there that may seem like simple stuff, but could really help out different types of players.

I'm mainly a crafter, with only one DoW leveled. Providing info on battle class strategies would be incredibly useful for me. On the flip side, tell battle/gathering classes what materials are really in high demand for crafters.

I imagine in the first few episodes an Exploration themed segment might be a hot topic too.
