Was it ever really explained what the silver and gold medals meant..? I never really understood them and the amount of information the forums actually give about themselves is pitiful at best ~_~

It is a combination of likes and post counts, but with a restriction that the LIKE contribution cannot exceed the post contribution.

The moment I hit 2000 posts, bam! I got my fourth gold medal, probably because I'd obtained enough likes to cap that factor already. If I look at how many medals I have when initially posting, it is 2 gold, or half my count when considering the contribution by likes.

And if I've hit my LIKE cap, Nique has well and truly hit it.

Doubt it, I am way past my 1000th post and only have 2 gold while the person who posted before has 434 posts and 3 gold.
