The bot i found that SE wont do anything about

Thanks for the lesson but most of us realize what botting does to a game. I didn't say its a good thing or that I like it. What I am saying is that people are not being realistic to think SE is going to crack down on such a large percentage of their player base so early.

How are they part of the player base when they are not playing properly, if they are actual people at all? Do we have Carte Blache to Violate the Terms of Service until the Battle System gets updated?

What is realistic about giving such a false crowd more respect than the actual players? How long before that large percentage becomes untouchable like FFXI Windower?

My easy fix would be to just have 10 people per server ( GMS) who will pop up when a call is made to check it out. Just to watch it. for a few mins. A GM is quick to break up social issues . But S L O W to do anything related to the accual game other wise.

As for Bots getting ore and logs and what not. Thats what mining or logging is for go do it. And if your to Lazy to go minning or logging then go kill Coblyns or other Mobs thay drop mats also.

Like the Bot i posted up. Its killing Coblyns gaining Sp but moreover gaining all the ore drops from them.

If i can make the effort to OPEN peoples eyes to Bots and RMT type dealings, I think SE could put forth the effort to also. Hell SE ill do it in game if my game is free lol. On my server long as i can also enjoy this game. Just an idea.

Also to the Mod. the STF dosent do anything. When you report something to the STF and 3 weeks later the same Bot or other "strange" activity is going on ( like at Horizon ) It make the STF credibality fall like a stone. And when you call a GM and get the auto responce telling you to goto the website and report to the STF thats a lame cop-out. You can make a GM pop for "trival" things but when it comes down to the accual important issues for us players your not there. Like Bots and RMTs.

Again im glad i took the time to show you all the Bot and the "Strange" activities at Horizon. And iam also glad 99.8 percent of you all agree.

WE HAVE TO stay ontop of them or things will never improve. Again i ask if anyone else has any vids of curent bots or maybe the same "Strange" Horizon activities . MAke the vid and post it. The more proof we have the better.


Its sorta sad that we the players have to try to Police our own game. But in the end i think it will be for the better.

I know that this is a touchy subject, seeing things that you encounter in-game, report and feel that "nothing is being done about it." We as a company continually strive to strike down RMT or other abuses down in any form. I ask that you do continue to send in your reports to the Special Task Force team as they work diligently to make Eorzea more enjoyable for everyone.

I beg to differ Bayohne. i reported the RMT in my case 4 days ago and they are still gettin there leve groove on tonight; in all i saw around 17+ toons all w/ the begining name of "Sel" spamming horizon leves all lvl 1 geared all on THM or CON class most all of them are tarufels . They even had the trademark RMT names such as Missyou Kissyou King..... Angel etc. couldnt it be any more damn obvious. Either these RMT are half-retarded or they have came to realize that SE task force doesnt do crap and they can do as they please. It seems that the later is the correct assumption.
And thank your developers for farkin behest all up now i gotta warp to a nation outa my hometown to do rank 20 behest cus Ul Dah camps are overcrowed. Can i get a friggin anima refund for this bullshit.

From the over use of the term "work diligently" from SE I think I've misunderstood and thought this actually means hard work and probably actually means "we've gone out for drinks to congratulate each other for the job well done!"

Certainly the lack of any visible proof of this "diligent work" would explain that there's something lost in translation.

Well, here's an idea for SE to easily spot botters.

Ok, we all know the fabled, send a tell, they need to respond. Alot of Botting services have an auto response, ei:

GM: Hey there, just a GM checking in, how are you?

Bot: I'm not a bot!

GM: Ok, keep on trucking

Well firstly, why not an actual follow up question, say for example "are you experiencing much lag today?". If anything, 2 questions would be a bit harder to program. especially if they randomise the second question somewhat. ei: "what is your favorite rank to play on?

Secondly, for the botteers which run from point A to point B 20 hours a day. The GM's can impliment a tempory invisible wall. only a small one mind, about 2x the players width. Anyone who isnt botting would stop, scratch their head and try to move around this strange blockade. A bot would simply keep running at it until the timer says to turn left or right.

I think it's true that SE need to think carefully before ban someone.
Because let's see this situation.

There's someone that have time to play all day all night because he's NEET/Hikikomori/Otaku that don't have work just have live to play the game, so he can play 24/7.He like to play DoH craft job so much but when he play it he just spam standard while he is watching some anime without any attention/fun of playing this game... but I don't know why he still playing lol. ( This is REAL human i know, and i think lot of ppl in this game doin like this ).

I saw him crafting all day all night in town so I think he's a bot for sure, so I send the bot report to STF.
What do they do?

Answer: They have to "investigate" first. They can't ban the person that you report right away.. And if they DO investigate and when they tell/talk with bot suspect and he/she can reply, talk with GM.. so.. what is it now? Is he/she really a bot or he/she is a NEET that can play 24/7? Or what if he/she didn't reply because he not pay much attention in game screen and didn't know there's some incoming tell... will GM ban him right away because of this?

Well... it too much possibility and as board's mod said, this is touchy subject. so please keep report and someday they'll get ban lol.

Agreed that SE need to crack down on this. And to people saying 'they're busy with other things' please remember what even Yoshi-P told us; they work in teams in certain sections. The STF do not work on updates. They aren't modellers, designers or directors. They're the STF, that's what they do, they're not busy with updates. It's their JOB to deal with this stuff so it's not unreasonable to ask them to do so.

I have noticed they are slow, someone said they're quicker to deal with offensive names and I haven't found that to be true. Months ago we had a retainer with a name I will not repeat on our server, they were active for months. I reported them and still saw them weeks/months later even though I was told they'd look into it.

Just make sure the crafter is actually paying attention. I don't how many time im watching a movie and i hardly ever pay more then 20% attention when grinding crafts. I usually have a movie on or im conversing with my fiance. Ive missed tells from many people. Its a monotonous process so im not surprised also the crafting action bar
