Is there a point in leveling Fisher to 50?

When you reach 45 and grade 5 give you suck sp and then you want to move to higher grade ( 6 )
You'll find out that grade 6 fishing spots most of them have aggressive mob around and that can kill you with 1 shot =='
More worse.. when you fishing at grade 6 you'll get fish that likely you can fish at grade 1 or 2. ( it gave low lv fish only )

My point is.. it suck to lv FSH to 50 atm cuz there's no super-high lv fish yet.
Only high lv fish that worth fishing is in grade 4-5 only ( worth to break to crystal )
Also... there's CUL don't play big role in this game so it's no point to fishing much..
except you need it to make crystal/shard for other craft class.

As a rank 50 fisherman I will agree that any fishing spot over grade 6 has utterly useless fish; however, on the point of why to take the class to 50 is a simple answer. I make more gil with my fisherman than I do any other class, and because I'm rank 50 I can wear the better gear and boost my perception, gathering and output stats by quite a lot compared to the rank 30 gear. Which in turn means I catch more fish per cast, and get more bites and I don't need to fight the fish nearly as hard. Just because all the worthwhile fish are in lower rank pools, doesn't mean you shouldn't rank your fisherman up past that point.

Look somewhere else? I have found just as many if not more perfectly safe spots to Fish in G6+, stop looking in the obvious and closer high grade and try, well I don't know, some exploration?

Yeah, they are placeholder fish until the level cap is increase. Please play a botanist or miner to that rank and then you will have a right to complain.

lol? So apparent the level of the fish is what makes them good? Not what they are used for... Okay.. There are plenty of High Level fish in this game that actually have a use. The ranks of fish match the ranks of players, as is should be.

Wrong again. There are fish in all rank ranges in this game that are worth fishing up. Corals for Arrows and Bows, Fish for Oils, Spearfishing for dye materials and poisons, fishing for repair materials, fishing for food materials and of course fishing for crystals and shards which are used is every damn recipe in the game. (Yes food is weak atm, but it can still be useful even in its broken state)

Culinarian does suck at the moment, the one thing I will agree with you on. It's an absolute failure on SE's part for launching the game with the job so screwed up and its even a bigger fail to have 6 months later done absolutely nothing to fix the issues at hand for the job.

But there are plenty of uses for fish other than food.
