I think in the lower levels the quest reward gear is to offset the fact that people won't be crafting level 1-10 gear for long, so it loses it's relevance as a craft easily.

Depending on how the spiritbond system changes and how the materia system changes (in 1.0 it wasn't worth worrying about until 50.) this could end up being a pretty minimal change, where wearing quest reward gear is ok, but not the best option.

Also now that once an item has any degree of spirit bond it can't be traded or resold to another player it's not as worrying as before, when once an item was in the game it could change hands hundreds of times before being removed either as a conversion to materia, tossed out, or sold to a vendor.

The one thing, though, that really irks me about this article? The plural for leve is leves... not leve's.
