Fraps is good but with my set up im at 1 step below max and adding anyother program other them my Mumble it will slow the FPS down alot. So i said ill just use my Ipod lol. I think i did ok one handed lol
Who said they are earning gil? I'm sorry, but I'm going to have to disagree with almost everything you said. Not all bots are the same and not all botters are RMT. Your best bet is to just accept them because every game has them and they aren't going anywhere =)All bots hurt the economy equally. Your friends who bot their crafts are no different from RMT. They're MMO bottomfeeders. They don't deserve to be the level they are. They don't deserve the profit from being that level. They don't deserve to spend the gil they earned. Someone else deserves whatever they get with that level, gil, profit, and everything they never earned.
No difference, at all. Botting players should be suspended on sight and banned at their next infraction.
Healer strike is ridiculously foolish and accomplishes nothing
We are not playing Lineage Fantasy III, no matter what you say. Bots cheat their way to places that have to be earned with actual play.
A person that uses a bot doesn't care about playing the game. They certainly don't care about winning the game, since this is impossible to do in an MMO. Even if they aren't involved in RMT, they are engaged in activities that cheapen and distort game play experience for legitimate players.
if you "just accept" bots, then more and more people will use them, to the point where the game becomes a farce and unplayable, with no community whatsoever.
What's the point of "epic gear" in such an environment? None.
rmt is more then just selling gil
ppl sell character and items foir real money.
I can only talk about my server but lets be honest here, if they really cracked down on bots there would be at least 25% of the server missing and i'm guessing more like 40-45%. Just walking around Ul'Dah you see ppl who have been crafting non-stop all day and there is no way they have just been mindlessly pressing buttons for 12 straight hours. SE is in no position to lose that much of their player base. The only way to prevent that is to change up the crafting system so it can't be botted or its not worth using bots. But for right now, and far into the future, there is no way SE will bans these players.

And when that player base starts affecting the ability of new players to join and enter the game in the job that they want...?I can only talk about my server but lets be honest here, if they really cracked down on bots there would be at least 25% of the server missing and i'm guessing more like 40-45%. Mind you, botters aren't even paying for the game yet, so their presence is nothing but detrimental to the game and SE at this moment. Botters should be removed, It is in SE's rights and interest to remove them, and the community will suffer if they are left alone. The very hint that botting is tolerated will only make botting- and the illegal activities that go with it- more pervasive.
I've crafted nonstop in ul'dah for several hours. I think one day I woke up at 7am and crafted until maybe 2-3am the next day ;o TV + controller + listening to when a synth is done on something you can't fail is an easy way to craft!I can only talk about my server but lets be honest here, if they really cracked down on bots there would be at least 25% of the server missing and i'm guessing more like 40-45%. on Selbina server there is the same type of bot in mines and about 40 toons all in lvl 1 gear at the horizon camp spamming leves all w/ the same Sir name Sel. Has been reported rumerous times and they fail to do a damn thing about it. Frickin F2P games have better dealings w/ RMT than SE.
Why is everyone so against botting
botting is a natural part of this game
I mean how else are carpenters gonna get their lumber

I know that this is a touchy subject, seeing things that you encounter in-game, report and feel that "nothing is being done about it." We as a company continually strive to strike down RMT or other abuses down in any form. I ask that you do continue to send in your reports to the Special Task Force team as they work diligently to make Eorzea more enjoyable for everyone.
