I have played all final fantasies except 3, and some of the spin offs like digre of crebrus. I have not played the GARBAGE of 13 and probably never will.

I played 11 for a long time and I also played WoW for quite a while. And YES the battles in WoW were much more dynanic, and fun you could say. In 11 you basically just either zerged or kited and dps to death. Dont get me wrong, there are things in WoW that are done in a great way, but it is the overall that just got tiring. WoW never had that "cinematic" or "narrative" sentiment that 11 did.

Hard to explain guys.

Rift for example.
Game looks amazing!! But it was a carboy copy of WoW with a different story.... sad.

Ummm if you played Dirge then you should play XIII my friend best thing Dirge had going for it was the music. XIII wasnt bad it was different and ppl cant seem to get over the one that popped their cherry. But hey to each his own.

It's because we are surrounded by fucking WoW fanboy's that just can't take someones opinion. It's an observation ppl get over it. That ffxi screenshot is nice btw. I'm not going to say if I like WoW or not but who really cares, you should be on these forums for this game so quit acting like you work for Blizzard punks.

Notice how it's only the people jumping to attack the ones who brought up the comparisons saying it's a bad thing? No one said it was good/bad, it's an observation. While the MMO community wants something different for once, when you see something with that much saturation you generally veer toward MMOs with that style of graphical direction, which is generally WoW or it's 'clones'.





This is from FFXI. Notice that there's not as much saturation? Bright colors in spots isn't what people were talking about lol.

It seems like the media has full-on access to ARR..not just confined to Gridania areas.
