Ok, Im confused. Was this media tour open to the public? I can't seem to find anything about it I live near San Francisco and I'm a bit sad if I missed it!

As far as I know, it's press only. If I got it right it SHOULD be the Game Dev Conference (?)

Nice to see you all following the official Twitter account for the behind-the-scenes pics! The first day of the media tour is tomorrow and we've set up, rehearsed, put Camate in a barrel (for some reason), checked the technical aspects and repeated it again and again. It might be a bit quieter tomorrow as we'll all be busy with our respective roles, but we'll try and offer up some updates when possible!

BTW The Media Event in SF starts in a few hours... probably tomorrow morning... so the information release will begin then. If SE doesn't post it, the media will. But do to the embargo, we will not get anything new until the Live Letter.

Yoshi hinted that Beta is pretty much finished, including servers, so I expect Beta to start about the time of the letter, next Friday, Feb 22. They like to do things on Monday so the 25th is probable.

Thanks for the update. I guess job #1 for SE for today is to help the media realize they Lurrrrve FFXIV ARR. (Happy Valentione's day to all, BTW.)

We have someone (Fusionx) on site. It was press/invite only. It is a FFXIV event only (i.e. not tied to GDC). And information from the event is under an embargo - meaning that media will release it's information all at once at the end of the (week long?) tour (they do this so that there is no priority given to those who they meed with today vs. those that they meet with 5 days from now).

I am sure the standard questions will be asked by the main stream gaming media about Beta and resurrecting the brand etc., but as always we will try to get in some tough questions as well.
