There's a difference between "explaining everything" and just "HERE IS STUFF!"

The first half of the video, aka the "End of an Era" trailer, tells a story. It shows our final moments fighting for our land.

The last half of the video, aka the new stuff, is just a clip show of random things. "Hey! Here's Odin, now here's a Behemoth! WOAH! IS THAT A CRYSTAL TOWER? Now, there's some people getting random chocobos!"

It doesn't give any narrative, which should be the entire purpose of an "opening" movie.

But interesting new things is @6:15, 6:22 and 6:35 Y'shtola, Papylamo and Thancred have odd steampunk necklaces/armbands.

They ALL have the clothes mark and the tattoo thancred had now...red is tattoo, blue is mark on clothes

have you watched that movie really closely? it doesnt really hit limsa.. it hits the landscape all around uldah and limsa.. when you watch it closely. the buildings dont receive any damage... just a huge dusty cloud rolling over limsa.. but that does not destory the city itself. thats why the cities itself stay almost the same in 2.0.

thats the explanation for yoshi why only the landscapes in 2.0. are changing.. and not the cities. as they mentioned hundreds of times before.
