Can we get the official titles for the entire FFXIV 1.0 OST?

I've been a long time fan of the original 74 track FFXIV 1.0 soundtrack, although no complete official version has ever been released. With the release of FFXIV Battle Tracks, Field Tracks, and Eorzean Frontiers many of the titles of these original tracks were revealed. However, there are still a number of tracks that do not have names.

If you are unfamiliar, there is a soundtrack rip consisting of 74 tracks with title 0A through 52. The first 8 tracks of the ripped FFXIV soundtrack are battle themes. Tracks 0A, 0F and 1B (boss fight, Coerthas battle and behest, respectively) have no official names but tracks 0B-0E and 1A are named in the official releases (e.g., 0C is Beneath Bloody Banners). Many battle, town, and field track titles have been released but most of the cutscene and some battle and action tracks have not.

Did Mr. Nobou Uematsu officially name all these tracks and if so, can ALL of the track titles be released?

I'd be happy to list the ones I know if anyone wants to help me name some of the missing track titles. Thanks!

I wish I knew too - there's so many excellent tracks whose titles are a complete mystery (like the Path Companion track I mentioned in the other music thread).

Uematsu probably did name them when he submitted the finished tracks to Square Enix, but translations of titles tend to differ depending on who is doing the translating (hence why for instance FFVII's boss fight theme has had three different official titles - Still More Fighting, Those Who Fight Further and Fight On!).

Ah well, we'll probably see an official full OST eventually which will solve this title mystery, I hope.

"Clash on the Big Bridge", "Battle on the Big Bridge".... yeah....

I'm actually very curious as to why there isn't a complete collection of the 1.0 music. Put it on a hardcopy and I'd buy it in a heartbeat. (No, I don't like iTunes. I want a disk.) Could it have something to do with Uematsu's private contractor status? Is that why so much of the music is different? None of Uematsu's tracks are in the alpha videos that I could tell, and things like Chocobo Theme, Main Theme, Prelude, and Victory Fanfare are owned by SE. I hope we get some sort of response on this.

I think it has more to do with their useability, kinda like how they sat on Answers for two years before making a big showcase with it.

I've been theorizing for awhile now that the tracks on Itunes are the ones that will be retired, or used less frequently. Those tracks are done and used (though for things like Natalan and Garuda, I do believe they'll still be around).

The unreleased stuff still has potential for them, so they may be hanging onto those for a bit longer before committing them to an OST. Just my speculation though.

Uematsu's contract status shouldn't really be an issue, since it was a commission based job: i.e. he composes for SE, SE retains the copyright but Uematsu is allowed to use for portfolio purposes.. kinda like how Graphic Designers work with businesses to create logos and things like that.

Going by the tracks on itunes, only Thanalan's battle theme was included. Nail of the Heavens and The Forest's Pulse weren't included, and yet, we already heard a showcase of the new Black Shroud battle theme from the official alpha videos.

I do hope that the tracks make a cameo somewhere, like in a cutscene at least. Not necessarily in full, but just for occasional nolstagia hits. Who knows, SOKEN may arrange a few favourite tracks to fit into his style of ARR music. Kinda like how he arranged the Prelude theme while still using Remembrance as the backbone (you can hear it still in the background).

Yeah its really hard to say for sure what their scenario is, which is why I only theorize lol. For tracks like Rise of the White Raven, I can't think of any other place they'd use it except for flashback cutscenes regarding Darnus. The music will probably get shuffled around, like they did with the job quest AF being used for Black Shroud levequest music now.

SOKEN did say he would use some of the older tracks sporadically in ARR and the track titles could be revealed then, but I'm not holding my breath on seeing the entire 1.0 soundtrack getting recycled.
