Getting an "APPLY NOW" e-mail is kind of irksome since I HAVE DONE and no invite

This is complete crap, seriously.

By the way I think the selection process is completely random.. So we're just unlucky (and trolled ).

Actually, you can add multiple services to an SE account. Your game will be titled FINAL FANTASY XIV 1 & 2 if you added a second game account. Therefore, you can apply to Alpha using the one per person application but the trick is you get duplicate invites due to you have two XIV's on that account.

Actually this doesn't work because it's one application per SE account with an active FFXIV account not one application per active FFXIV account. The people getting their second and third invites weren't stupid enough to link their buddy pass and third alts to the same SE account. They will get multiple applications in beta the same way.

It doesn't affect things a huge way because of the way invites are sent out. If someone has three alpha invites but is only using one of them those extra two slots will go out to other people because SE are monitoring logins rather than invite numbers.

Ah basic programming but I doubt that is the kind of program they would use since it would send an email to anyone that applies...

I'm really sick of these baseless rumors. You don't get in without an application, you can't apply without an active account... and you either have an active account or you don't have an account at all.

And active FFXIV account is the one that pops up when it says "Active" under your options list. If you "deactivate", the account DISAPPEARS.

a friend did get in without application cause he wasnt able to apply cause of no active acount. I visited him yesterday an he has alpha access for sure...
