    I don't think something like that was said. Plus, it doesn't make sense, maybe only if by 'old players' you mean players from XI, since XIV never had a list combat UI (or you are referring only to the menu).

    No, Nyx is half right there, YoshiP did mention it is for the XIV users who are used to the 1.0 UI schematics controls... and only controls.. mostly the keyboard only users.. not the keyboard&mouse users. That what i remembered him talking about Controls... not UI :P
