@kanjitai there are many games for you out there on the market already, we don't need more. Hardcore players don't have a game at all for them, share please? ;_; We wanna have fun too!

There are plenty of hardcore games out there, obviously what you mean is in the MMO genre particularly and as I have said before game developers are moving away from this for a reason, because casual gamers = more money.
You say casuals quit after a few months, so tell me why is WoW's userbase still growing ?

and base from where if I may ask ? as I meet wow player quitting the game at other mmo forum, so w/o solid of info of wow is growing, I wont belive it.There are plenty of hardcore games out there, obviously what you mean is in the MMO genre particularly and as I have said before game developers are moving away from this for a reason, because casual gamers = more money.

Base on how every single expansion they increase their playerbase by a few millions, thats MILLIONS! And we can all agree that in World of Warcraft the hardcore crowd it's a very very small minority, if tomorrow blizzard woke up, and only had their hardcore crowd as it's only subscription income, they would close doors![]()

Not that this discussion belongs here, but WoW lost players with Cata. Not enough to shut them down. It would take the Titanic to do that.Base on how every single expansion they increase their playerbase by a few millions, thats MILLIONS! Ironically, they lost those players partially by "catering to the minority of hardcores", according to many of the quitting posts. Then when they started nerfing, people quit because they were "catering to the casuals". The rest were "bored with the game", due to lack of new content.
Bottom line is, I'm tired of hearing the casual vs.hardcore argument. I move to a new game, and they follow me.
I just want the game to be fun.

Oh and it's "kai-neh", not "kain".. and it is feminine.. u.u
Warcraft loses players every single time a "Wow killer" releases, then 2-3 months later, they reclaim those lost players plus some more, it's been that way since release, if you really really think cata lost blizzard customers, then you don't know wtf you are talking about, i play wow, i'm not playing right now, but i'm still paying them $14.99 a M.O. And the nerfs, are not really nerfs, is just that people dont know wtf they are talking aboutNot that this discussion belongs here, but WoW lost players with Cata. Not enough to shut them down. You cannot prove this anymore than I can prove they did lose customers. I only know what I observe. I can assure you, they have not reclaimed me. I also never refered to a "WoW killer". I refered to Cata itself.Warcraft loses players every single time a "Wow killer" releases, then 2-3 months later, they reclaim those lost players plus some more, it's been that way since release, if you really really think cata lost blizzard customers, then you don't know wtf you are talking about, i play wow, i'm not playing right now, but i'm still paying them $14.99 a M.O. But that's not really the point of my statement. My point is all of the flack people throw around. There is no reason to have "sides". There's no reason to fight and bicker with each other, especially so much that it completely ruins a game for everybody.
Edit: What I would really like to see, is everyone working together to give feedback that help the devs make a game everyone can enjoy.
So I should go play another game even though I want to play XIV? I should just accept the fact that it should be made hardcore and nothing else? There is a hardcore FF on the market and that's XI. Even with all the adjustments they've made it's still harder then other MMOs that are out. They can add content for both sides.
