Nah I rather use game money! The only rl money I wish to spend each month on the game is for my sub =)

Adding my voice to the overwhelming "No" from the perspective of that a sub should pay for an equal playing experience to everyone else. Would be nice if they stopped RMT too...
Aww heck no. I pay every month, and that should be enough. I have a lot of other stuff I have to spend my money on. :P
Hell no! I'll use my gil for it. Leave me with a reason/goal to work on, yes please.

If you want to pay real money for a virtual house, go see Second Life.
So much naivety up in here.
I wouldn't spend rl cash on top of sub, no. But if it's an option for others, whatever. People who think others buying shit in a cash shop is losertastic "cheapens" their experience of the game are laughable. SE is out to make cash so please drop the threats of "if cash shop I'm out".
League of Legends is the most played free to play out there and it makes crazy bank because people buy the heroes to play. Just cuz you saved up riot points for the same hero doesn't make yours any better or worse. It's the same thing.

Absolutely no.
If it's in the game, it should be obtainable in the game, by playing the game. Real world money's involvement should end at buying the initial game, paying subscriptions or various character/account services (server transfer, name change, etc). Beyond that, real-world money should stay where it belongs, in the real world.
Eww what is the point to have everything right now thanks to RL money in a game seriously, you are happier to get your house (or something else) with efforts.
And it would ruin the role of crafters etc no thanks.
Same.If there was anything that would convince me to quit after playing 1.0 for two years and the 5 or so month wait for ARR, it would have to be something like this. I absolutely will not pay micro-transactions on a game I already pay a monthly fee for, the only exception I have ever made for this was abyssea in XI, and even that pissed me off pretty hard.
This is not a threat, it is an absolute promise. If SE implements any kind of micro-transactions, I am done with XIV.
Period.
I'm not happy with certain decisions made regarding Yoshi-P's direction with ARR, but I will still play it and "put up" with those annoyances, because I love so much else about the game (about the same relationship I had with XI when I think about it lol).
But bringing microtransactions of any kind into the game for anything that effects gameplay, allows one to purchase items that would otherwise be bought, created or earned through actual gil or gameplay would have me hitting the cancel button as quickly as I my fingers would allow.
I know people say "well, if it's only for non-important, aesthetic or fluff items, then it's okay". I don't even agree with that stance. Those aesthetic, fluff items may be unimportant to you, or me, or someone else. However, I also have to acknowledge - in fairness - that those things are very important and meaningful to others' enjoyment of the game. If they are paying the same box fee and the same monthly sub as I am to play the same game, then it would be absolutely unfair for someone to have to spend more money than me to get to enjoy the game in a way they enjoy.
Just as I can make the decision to take the time to hunt some NM for a nice new piece of adventuring gear, someone whos' really into decorating their house (for example) should have the option of putting the time into a related activity to acquire that item, be it crafting, questing, etc.
This is why people refer to P2P/Sub MMOs as providing an "even playing field". Everyone has equal access to everything in the game via the same means, for the same cost. Everyone gets access to the same content with that cost. Introducing items that would require a portion of the player-base to spend more than others to enjoy the game equally, in their own way, would unbalance that level playing field and would be, in my opinion, flat out wrong.
Want to get some extra revenue for SE? Sell us some sweet FFXIV-related stuff. T-Shirts, key-chains, posters, collectibles.. Hell, I could use a new mouse-pad, and would *love* to have a black one with that new ARR logo on it. Sell me a real, physical item I can get enjoyment and use from in the real world, and I will happily pay you real physical money for it.
