The trouble is:

Everyone will be wearing the exact same thing.

Abriael said the drop rate was so low as to reduce that. But then you guys decided that the drop rate should be high because it's only low level gear.

So that brings me back to: everyone will be wearing the exact same thing.

WTF? One of FFXIV's best traits was the diversity of gear; both in colour and textures for every different tier. Should we really be throwing that aside so we can have a NM hunt?

Is it seriously such a big problem that you will wear the same gear as someone your level for a few days? In FFXI every freaking Paladin had a Koenig set sooner or later, who cares? No matter what they do there is going to be a certain item that is going to be the best in slot, so everyone will aim to get that. There is nothing you can do to avoid that.

Get over FFXI already. FFXI had the worst selection of gear of any MMO i've played. Well, in any case, it was really bad with everyone ending up wearing the exact same thing. I hate seeing the same thing happen to FFXIV what with Dodore Doublet and Buccaneers Shirt.
