Well, I don't really like elitism too. In every MMO's I played, I always prefer to share my knowns with newbies (not the "insulting" newbies) than to be harsh with them, cause I prefer make friends and future allies than enemys.

MMOs statistically draw in more female gamers than your average FPS/Action/Adventure/RTS. It's the social nature of the genre. I read a study about it somewhere.
