    Yes there should definitely be a balance struck to prevent crowds and such all trying to pop something at a ???. Open world from FFXI left me with a huge bias in terms of competitiveness and linkshell rivalry. But again, ENM/BCNM/KSNM/etc were all great aspects where players could cash in their time spent partying (seals -> orbs) for challenging and rewarding fights.
    myt fav bcnm was the 40 orb 3 chest one even a level 1 could do it all you had to do was guess the right chest or die. I got some decent money from that.

    i'd like something like an hybrid from FFXI - WoW .. expecially for boss and encounters.. a bit more strategy and movement, like evade some void that cause istant death, walk on traps ecc ecc

    Yeah there should def be BCNM fights and stuff, I haven't done faction leves but aren't the 50 ones basically BCNM's kind of? So I can see them doing that too. The good thing about FF11 is that it had TONS of content, all different and all unique, the things you could do were almost unlimited, it was a nice feeling. Feels like they're going to bring that back in this game as well.

    Why so much hate for WoW? Sweet Christ, people get a clue. Seriously, its getting very tiresome to hear the same shit over and over. WoW did not rape and murder your family - it's ok.

    Theres very little difference in Dynamis and a WoW-instance and every complaint that the OP made about WoW dungeons can be applied to FFXI. I personally hope they do learn something about WoW dungeons since they stood the test of time, were exceptionally challenging when released and were well balanced.

    Cataclysm came out in December but just recently did most endgame guilds start tackling Hard Mode bosses. <--- This is challenging content.
    FFXIV released some HNMs in December and they were killed within 1 hour of servers coming up. <--- Not challenging.

    This notion that WoW is easy mode and FFXI/XIV are hard games couldn't be any farther from the truth. Get off your high horse.

    Sounds like the Diabolos fight from CoP lol, dynamic terrain-based fights are among the best.

    I didn't have the priviledge of playing FFXI, so I can't compare it, but I would welcome some ideas spun off from it.

    @Kurokikaze

    I do not hate WoW. I just want to see something different from WoW. I think FF is capable of that. As Kazmir said, they put their own spin on things.

    I don't hate WOW, it's just not my type of game. People getting so defensive whenever you bring up "wow" into anything, and notice I said "western MMO"? I don't like western RPGS or western MMOs, just not my style. I'm basically saying I want something different, like how FFXI was different from other MMOS, I want this one to be too.

    I also never said WOW was easy, it's simply not fun for me o_o Stop raging like a 2 year old please.

    Cause they put their own spin on things does not make it fundamentally different. That is what the majority of these forums and you cannot comprehend.

    So true, WoW these days is completely different than it used to be, dynamic mechanics in a fight is where the genre is headed, SE need to realise and appreciate this.

    Not because WoW did it, but because people want this kind of challenging/fun gameplay
