    This Isn't Fun, This Isn't Challenging, This Is Aggrivating.

    Now I love a challenge as much as the next guy, more-so really. I was down there in the airship basement on the day of both versions of Nael's release welcoming the challenges of both fights with open arms.
    But this.
    This is just stupid.
    This is people blindly throwing themselves at level 90+ monsters that have a nearly 100% physical and magical evasion rate.
    This is relic paladins getting 1-shot with full buffs.
    This is spending half an hour to do under 1% damage to a golem.
    This is waiting around for something like a skeleton or a chimera that we can kill.
    This isn't a challenge. This is sadism on your part. Tone back the mob difficulties to something doable.
    Yes I know it's the apocalypse. Yes I know we're all screwed, but unless the goal is to force everyone to stop logging in, you're doing this event wrong. Legions of strong monsters that we can barely fend off only to see a new wave on the horizon fills a player with a sense of dread and helplessness. Seeing a legion of monsters that, even with gear good enough to beat Nael (Hard), can be successfully hit 1/20 times fills players with a sense rage.

    Just a random thought, perhaps we're not supposed to be hanging around the cities and this is their way of trying to get us out exploring?

    Hubby and I started the pilgrimage last night, in the order specified by the Living on a Prayer quest. We got up to the Uldah stones and had to log out for the night. We plan to continue tonight and hopefully round up the small remainder of our LS that's logged in for the final days for a mass pilgrimage on Saturday.

    Some of the stones are now surrounded by imperials, one in the Black Shroud (Lynxpelt Patch I think) and one in Thanalan. But, you can weave through them and hopefully only aggro one or two, which are easily dealt with.

    I must agree with OP.
    I got bored after throwing myself two times, and checking now for some locations to see if something changed (checking Mor Dhona, Wandering Minstrels location, etc..).
    Hitting even the great-equipped tanks with 9999 is no fun, only way to kill them is to zombie them.

    Though I think this is just the beginning to give us a little "let down" for now and surprise us at the end

    So far, the areas with the stones in the attacked city (Uldah) were still accessible without running into the mobs ^^

    I imagine the developers were chanting, "Break all the gear..." when they were programming this.
