No chance on becoming a Legacy Member?

So this is the true face of kind players of FFXIV? A bunch of people who links Youtube video that points a finger to you and say "Stupid!"? More that just say "You missed your boat, loser!"?
I mean, like I asked to steal something from you, why such hostile arguments?
When I said "Please", I meant it. I know you deserve it more than me, I really do.
You know what is like living a dream since you are a child and see it fading away in front of your eyes just for being 10 days too late? You lost your human empathy somewhere on the road? Am I not someone who, just like you, love this game and was willingly paying to enjoy it, even if a little later?
I paid the box and tried, I really did, to play it since the first day. I insisted on my friend that we give it a second chance because I wanted to play it with him, and finally convinced on august - and be aware, it's not that I didn't like the game in the beginning, I just couldn't bear the OMINOUS latency playing from EU.
So ok, I'm not as much supportive as you all were, but I WAS supportive to SE.
And when ARR will be out for everyone, I will be treated just as like everyone else who bought the new version of the game.
That just feel... Sad.
And I don't want to claim or demand anything, I was just... Let's say, begging, that I had some way to do this.
It doesn't? Ok, I will accept it, no need to be mean with me.

Plus, I would REALLY like to be supportive as you were. I would've REALLY liked to have gotten back in the game before.
I'm just desperate I can't demonstrate it, anymore.
So if there was, let's say, an option to pay in advance 20, 30 or even 40 bucks to give some kind of support, at least economical, to SE, and to receive some kind of reward (even a lower version than yours, that would be fine too!), I would REALLY pay for it and help with all I can.
Because I really believe in this game, and I like it more than any other MMO out there.

And yes, even because that little child that wanted its name to be displayed on a Final Fantasy game credits, know this is his only chance to have his dream accomplished.

I was totally hedging my bets on the fact that you usually add 2~3 months to any projections for dates on stuff happening. They seem pretty set on the Nov 11 thing, so those of us that started in late June onward miss out. Oh well.

No the whole point of Legacy is to reward those players who, for the most part, have stuck with and paid for the game, without taking a hiatus. You don't qualify and there's no way to now. =( That and SE gave plenty of notice and information regarding Legacy eligibility.

I am sorry but you don't have my sympathy. If you really are such a huge FF fan that having your name in credits is your childhood dream come true, I would imagine you'd read every single email SE sent and post they added to Lodestone.

And I read that, that's the reaosn because I gladly try it when I got the free week. Plus, it is the reason because I actually was able to convince my friend to get back to me, since noticing lag was partially gone.
I didn't, however, receive no mail about this Legacy thing, and i didn't follow the lodestone because... I wasn't playing the game.

Not a single SE game, till now, has escaped joining my library.

I just state it once more, so to be clear: I would like to be supportive with SE, if I could've done it.
It's just sad I can't anymore.
I genuinely asked if there was a chance, EVEN KNOWING I didn't deserve that as much as you do (and yet, I think, more of new players which will come in 2.0).

They did sent emails out and they did announce it on the Main-page and it was talked about all over the forums. Not to forget the gaming-sites, where it was in the News.
It was known for MONTHS, like others said and they even told us what day the offer ends.
You had like 3 or 4 Months to get into it but u missed it because u didnt care about FFXIV at that time, but Legacy is for those who did care.

I know, it sucks that u missed it, but its your fault. And only yours.

And since both of u dont even care about playing FFXIV:ARR without being legacy, i just cant feel sorry for you.

It doesn't matter where you go in this world, there will always be ignorant and agressive people. The internet serves as a way for these people to act out w/o any sort of repercussion for their behavior towards other human beings.

yes most do, example..... good friend of mine always wanted children but missed out a couple of years from fertility problems. by the time she saved enough money she missed her window of opportunity... A new Life in a family!

yes, its a nice thought and hell my friends know how stupidly crazy i am on ff. having collected all the games, attended distant worlds in several countries and sill bits of merchandise that make my wife and children embarrassed.... but wow to have your dreams fulfilled in a game is not that important compared to many things you will do/ achieve in your life. should really put things into perspective..

if it was really that much of a dream to have your name in a final fantasy title you would of

A. logged on sooner (info been up for ages) and payed the money... i understand you couldnt support them and you prob had your reasons which at the time were more important than paying the game. commitments etc. but being a fan myself i pretty much search at least on a regular basis once a week with my copy any ff news (O.T.T)

B. got a job in SE (wether it be a sales rep, programmer or other staff) and gotten to the point where your involved in the game design enough to be titled.

Am i saying this only because i have legacy? NO. tbh i relogged 3-4 months ago and didn't expect to get it at all. my understanding was that i would miss it after June. I simply resubbed because i knew 2.0 would be out soon and know this game will be worth it. will my name be in the titles?? who knows. to be honest it's not something i will go out of my way for.... what am i going to do???? show my already embarrassed wife and child how "awesome" i am?... don;t think so

whilst i can appreciate this is unfortunate,, personally i wouldn't worry about paying slightly more. if anything the fact you have to pay more i think you're more committed. i can see some people purely not playing just because they have to pay a higher rate.

if your lucky they may do as others have said and honour it come launch. but i really wouldnt worry. just enjoy the game and ignore those that try to put you down calling you stupid etc

If you played the game before in 2010 or 11 then you definitely got a legacy email to whatever email is registered to your square enix account. since you didn't really care about the game at that point in time, you probably just disregarded squeenix emails and not really paid much attention to them. The free month of October really messed up a lot of folks potential legacy status though. which does suck but you have to have 3 cumulative paid months to get it. all of those other time tables that folks keep referring to didn't really matter as folks have gotten legacy after those dates. per customer service it's just 3 paid months from jan to the end of sept.

I didn't said that *I* don't care playing without Legacy, I will play the game anyway.
And again, you seem not having read what I wrote just right before this thing, I know you all deserve the Legacy title more than me. Fod God's sake, I know you all are the SE saviors and I'm just a newcomer, I got it, ok?
I knew this right before writing the post, that's why this isn't either a claim nor a demand.
And I know you can't feel sorry at all, cause you are too pumped being self proud to see farther than your nose.

But then again, what is this, a race to who was more helpful to SE?
Because, you see, you are not the one who determines the entity of the prize you get.
Elsewhere, Mr January 2012 would just say to Mr February 2012: "Hei, dude, I was here before you, I have every damn right to show off my black chocobo to you."
But then again, Mr January 2011 would come forth and say: "Dude, don't think you are someone just cause you are paying since the beginning of the year."
And Mr September 2010 just bump in to point out: "Guys, I was here since the beginning, I should get a lot more than you all do."
Lastly, Mr 1985 jumps out of nowhere and speak out loud: "I was playing Squaresoft games even before they became famous for Final Fantasy I. Just shut up you all, and get me a Cloud's Fenris fully working."

You see, it's not a contest, cause it would be stupid. And everyone of you have a different reason to feel proud being a part of all this, as I do.
I never started all this topic hoping for something different than mercy, but you all should be more empathetic to someone who loves this games as you, even if he realized that too late, for his own very personal reasons. And plus, admit it, and he is deeply sorry for this, as I am.

I'm not out because I was ages too late, I missed the target just a few days.
And you can tell me that I deserve this, and you are right, but that was not my question in the first place, and I'm not accusing SE or blaming no one except myself.

And the question is, just as simple: there is a chance that, any way at all, SE will give a second thought at this and give, before January, a chance to people like me to contribute and be included into this Legacy thing?
Not a moral judgment, I'm not asking that. Just a guess. Or a sure denial, if you have something official that says so.
